Galapagos goes Confluent Cloud

It took quite a long time, but now we proudly present the latest Galapagos release which does support Confluent Cloud hosted Kafka Clusters.

Many companies already use Confluent Cloud as "Kafka as a Service" solution, and so do we. So it was time to have Galapagos support such clusters to enable all the cool Self-Service functionality also on our latest clusters.

New Features

• Support Confluent Cloud clusters, including API Key + Secret generation for applications.
• "Hybrid" setups (e.g. one on-prem cluster with certificates, two Confluent Cloud Clusters) are possible.
• Owners of topics can now easily be changed, as well as additional producers added.
• Several minor bugfixes and improvements

Oh, and if you wonder: Galapagos 2.0.0 was an "internal" release in our company for evaluating the Confluent Cloud support - it never made it to the public :-)
