not sure how best to organize this information, for new commers who are looking to buy adapters for use with ppg.

when using the built-in usb-b port, there can be some stability issues, due to power issues.
this appears to be a problem between various brands of inverters.

to solve this, a usb-usb isolator can be put inbetween.
ADUM3160 chipset / isolator, a bit pricey; prices vary, can look around for a better listing.
