Thank you for your interest in contributing to the InnerSource Commons Africa community! We welcome all contributions that help foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across Africa. Before getting started, please review the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone.
To contribute to this repository, follow these steps:
- Join the conversation on our #africa channel.
- Introduce yourself! Let the community know who you are and how you’d like to contribute.
- Check out the repository for beginner-friendly issues labeled good-first-issue to help you get started.
- Look for other issues tagged as help wanted to see where contributions are needed.
- If you want to work on something new, feel free to open an issue and discuss it with the community.

We use Slack as our primary communication tool. You can find us in the #africa channel on the InnerSource Commons Slack space. Join the discussion, ask questions, suggest improvements, or collaborate with others.
We also hold regular meetings for contributors and community members. Stay updated on the meeting schedule by following our announcements in Slack and on our social platforms.
