Invisible Custom blocks

What attribute would I add/edit in the Project.json to make custom blocks invisible?

Found it it is the shadow variable!

In the json you edit the shadow variable to be true

but why?

It's a Scratch bug - normally, it makes blocks "shadowed" (attached to another block and undetachable; normally used by define blocks and round dropdowns), but it makes scripts invisible if you set it to true for the whole script (or possibly just the top block?).
