Docker on macOS

Docker is already preinstalled on Microsoft-hosted Ubuntu and Windows Agents.
Is there a roadmap for Docker on macOS as well?

We can't install Docker on macOS due to legal issue (EULA license).

I'm using the following in Azure DevOps Pipeline and it is actually working fine:

but when I want to use the running image in another script task I get the following error:

is it because the another task is running in another shell window?

it's probably because of --noprofile

exactly. that's why I was thinking importing a profile in the next shell window (next script task in azure pipeline), but I'm not sure if I'm right

Last time I used AzDevOps, I've used "##vso[task.setvariable variable=VCS_REF]$VCS_REF" to export/import value across tasks but there might be better way?

I'd highly recommend NOT going the Docker-Machine route outlined above (due to the performance issues mentioned) and just install Docker for Mac using brew install --cask docker, then mark the binary safe to launch spctl --add /Path/To/Application.app or xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "Docker.app" and then run with sudo open -a Docker.app and use osascript to automate the prompts to complete installation and then cope with calling sudo docker run ... since adding a user to the docker group requires a new login to take effect which you can't really do in a pipeline. I've tested this (several Docker versions ago) and it worked well enough in Azure DevOps pipelines and even though it wasn't ideal, I had a need for a macOS environment for some things as well as Docker for a portion of my software build.
