The issue is pretty simple. If dnsmasq (or any other) is used as a DNS server locally and some other services depend on it to resolve DNS queries, what happens if dnsmasq gets updated - and thus restarted - at the same time as other services? They fail!
This should not be an issue but some services do queries upon startup and fail directly instead of gracefully restarting. Thus the whole deploy fails. This happens from memory with authelia and restic backups, at the very least.
