there is a dsi icon in dot arts source that for some reason isnt being used

The standard DS one is already used for DS, you can't have both.
And the src folder is full of unused one you can switch to if you want.

so, theres a dsi playlist so you may as well not leave it missing

So I took a quick look at the Libretro Database list. The "Nintendo - Nintendo DSi" database appears to have the same name as the system and content files contained in the Dot Art theme as well as the other themes, so it "should" be working with the playlist. If it's not, we'll need to take a deeper look.

Incidentally, the Dot Art theme does not have icons for Nintendo - Nintendo DSi (Digital) or Nintendo - Nintendo DSi Decrypted so if they scanned up in those playlists, that may be why the icon is not showing up.

It's been a while since this issue came in. @kcin2001 Does it happen to be working with the latest version? I'd try testing it, but don't have anything to test it with at the moment.
