How to place contentwidget on modified line in inline diff?

I am currently playing around with the inline diff and placing content widgets inside of it and it kind of works but also some uncertainties.

So i can easily click on my icon in the left bar to add my widget like this. This also works if i click on the right row-number icon. No matter if i click on the left or right one here i populate the widget into the modified editor

But how do i place the content in the deleted area? So if i click on the left number 8 (ignore the overlay) how do i place the widget under the deleted line? AS far as i understand it the inline diff uses the modified editor, so how would i place something on the "red line 8" since the line 8 is not at the same location for the original and the modified editor

So given the above example i would have wanted the widget to be to lines above, so under "src/**/*.ts",

And for reference this is my widget i add to the modified editor on line number click
