App crashes when dbpassword missing from uri string

In the preferences for Mongo - when the dbpassword is missing from the uri string it triggers an app crash message - can this be changed to giving the user a syntax error message?

Is this when you are in the preferences menu? Or when you try to upload to that mongo url?

In the preferences menu - a user was having problems with this setting up. I replicated same on my phone
