Get Flights Plans for Airport #19
-
Is there a way to query to API for all currently active flights plans departing/arriving at an airport? I suspect there is since SimAware and VatSPY provide this functionality, but I'm not seeing a clever way of doing this. Thanks! |

You can filter through the prefiles and pilots list and filter by departure/arrival airport to get the one you want. Then, the rest of the flight plan is available there - at least this is what I do |

Thanks! That works quite well, though it would be nice if the API endpoint was filterable :-) |

SimAware and VAT-Spy both filter the datafeed down to individual airports - we're not providing anything special to them. For some background, the datafeed is a mostly static file generated on a regular cadence. It alone accounts for millions of requests a day and over a terabyte of egress data. While we could expand it to be filterable, it would be a large workload to shift around versus keeping it cached on the edge. I'm not saying it won't ever happen, but it's a bit more complex of a situation than expected. |
