Theme colors not applied to buttons and links in account activation email #100

I am using the tutor-indigo plugin to customize the LMS branding (logo, fonts, button, and link colors) on my Open edX platform, which is set up with Tutor (latest version). The plugin is working well across the LMS interface, but I noticed that the theme colors specified for buttons and links are not being applied in the account activation email that is sent to learners after registration.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Set up a Tutor-based Open edX platform.
  • Install and configure the tutor-indigo plugin with INDIGO_PRIMARY_COLOR = "#b82725"
  • Register a new learner account.
  • Check the account activation email sent to the learner.

Expected behavior: The email should apply the same custom theme colors (buttons and links) as defined in the tutor-indigo configuration.

Actual behavior: The email displays default styling for the buttons and links, without applying the custom theme colors.

Email

Additional Information:

Tutor version: v18.1.3
Tutor-indigo plugin version: v18.1.1

Could you please look into this issue and provide a fix or guidance on how to ensure the theme colors are applied consistently in emails?

Hi,
I tried different things to make it work and followed forum posts too. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time in the next few days to find a solution. These are the links I tried and might help you:
