No update in the past 2 years, 359 open issues: Has rCharts been superseded by another package? Thanks for suggestions on alternatives.

Thanks Ramnath, htmlwidgets looks fantastic!

May I suggest adding something like "rCharts is no longer updated. htmlwidgets is the official successor. It covers the same ground and more!" to the README.md ?
