Hi. Can you check two things :
If you're familiar with hex editors, you can also try to compare the roms you generated with the spreaded one (crc32 = dea53d19), to find what's different between them. |

I am also not able to dump Road Rash for the Sega Genesis. I get a different CRC every time with the Cartreader. The pins are extremely clean. However, I noticed that if I use a Retrode to dump this game, I get a consistent CRC. That CRC matches the GoodGen entry: Road Rash (UE) [o2].bin The size is: 786,432 bytes. That is the correct size, so I do not understand how this would be flagged as an "overdump". I thought overdumps meant more data than required. This has the exact required size. Another strange issue is this game is in a non standard Genesis case. It almost looks like a rental case. However the insert is professionally printed and looks authentic (but it too big to fit a normal EA Genesis case). The person I bought it from 100% promised it was authentic and not a reproduction / aftermarket case. I also found one just like it on eBay. It makes me think there is something very odd about this particular copy of the game. I would love to be able to dump this and get the "known" good CRC, but I am more confused than ever. Was any solution found to the original post? Thanks! |

My copy of Road Rash also gives an error:
(haven't updated my V5 Sanni since the 12.3 release though, last time I tried to update it the Arduino software said the upload was too big or something, so I guess I need to figure out how to fix that) So far the dump seems to work fine, was even able to use the ROAD_RASH_Improvement_v1.1 patch on it. Here's what my board looks like, apparently it's Rev A, but it looks different from retrovik's board, which also says Rev A: |

I'm trying to dump Road Rash for Sega Genesis but seem to be getting a different CRC with each attempt, none of which match the CRC for a known good dump of Road Rash (USA). I've attempted dumping two different copies of the game to be absolutely sure and have also given both PCB pins a thorough cleaning with a pink eraser and contact cleaner. Both copies of the game run fine on my original Genesis model 1 and the dumps do load on BlastEm emulator. I've had no issues dumping Genesis/Mega Drive carts on the hardware to this point so I'm stumped, definitely open to any suggestions on what else to try or if I should supply any more information for troubleshooting. OSCR log excerpt below and each attempt was done with a different copy of Road Rash:
