Live is consuming 100% of CPU #1552

Description:
Live stream suddenly consumes 100% of CPU

Reduced test case:

Steps to reproduce:

It is very random, sometimes it is at the beginning and sometimes should wait several minutes.
Something I observed is that usually crashes when video content changes (maybe with a DISCONTINUITY tag)

Errors:
No errors in console

What version of Video.js are you using?
tested with videojs 7.8.4 and 8.17.4

What browser(s) including version(s) does this occur with?
Chrome

What OS(es) and version(s) does this occur with?
MacOS

Other observations:
I got the stream from here: https://www.newsmaxtv.com/n2
After crashing in the netlify tool, newsmaxtv continues playing
