V3 Pre-Planning

V3 is scheduled for release apx Feb 2024, with us planning a tech preview around July 2023.
Office hours starting 2 PIs before release date.

What work would we like to plan for V3?

• removal of old deprecated methods
• updating of dependency versions that will no longer be supported by this time
• breaking changes

Close communication with CLI & Imperative squad to quickly pick up changes.

Proposal to remove the upkeep of sessions in ZE code base. In ZE only profiles are needed, sessions are needed by the extender parts for REST API calls. The manipulation of profile information into the ISession type done by Imperative could be handled in the respective extender's API file by calling their instance of getSession(). This would make ZE code base much easier to handle and enhance for future releases and cut down the instances of failure due to outdated/cached session information.
This could be a breaking change for extenders and best done if decided to do in a major release.
