Codex

I want to know everything in this world - Ishigami, Senku - Dr.Stone

We shall unify our lessons learned throughout the non-fictional materials we gathered. Codex is a wikipedia of all the materials members of Dr.Nekoma felt they should share, being a recommendation to read/watch something or a recommendation to not even bother.

General Rule

For a specific material, make a PR, like this one, that makes a summary of the main points, negative and/or positive of the material you want to share.

Organization

Accepted Materials

  • Talks (in and out of youtube);
  • Articles;
  • Blog Posts;
  • Books;
  • Courses;
  • Projects;

Accepted Themes

  • Technology;
  • Philosophy;
  • Economy;
  • Introspective.

File

  • You should always use an .org file.
  • The name of the file should be in camel case.
  • You can inspire yourself using this template.
  • Every file should point to somewhere where the reader can get the material.

Rules of Thumb

No one made a file about this material

Create the file in the appropriate category.

Someone made a file about it, but I want my own take on it

  • Transform the file in question in a folder;
  • All files about that material should be in that folder;
  • Each version of each author should have the file with the author’s name, e.g., Lemos.org and Marinho.org.

What should I care about when writing about it?

  • How did the material change the way you think?
  • What is the most valuable lesson you got from it?
  • Why do you think people should absorb that as well?
  • What makes it memorable for you after the experience?

Pull Requests

Reviewers shall not change the styling of a proposed file to join the archive. Reviewers should mainly focus on typos and maintaining the uniformity in the organization of the files.

How to Use

Open any .org file using your instance of Emacs xD.

Nix/NixOS
