Where's Whaledo

A TDOA/DOA localization software package created to track echolocating marine mammals, specifically goose-beaked whale (Ziphius cavirostris). This software was created by Dr. Eric Snyder (@ericSnyderSIO) and is currently optimized for use with small-aperture tetrahedral hydrophone arrays.

This software package has been used to process long-term acoustic datasets of goose-beaked whale echolocation clicks, but settings can be modified to process stereotyped impulsive signals produced by other odontocete species.

Read the Where's Whaledo article here.

To get started, take a look at the goose-beaked whale case study here.
