This is a Chromium extension for your desktop browser that allows you to send videos to Songtube, to watch or instantly start downloading as Music (Format is determined by the app settings instant download format). This extension requires a desktop app to automatically detect your device or you can manually input your device IP Address to connect.
First off, install the extension from Edge add-ons or manually from the instructions bellow in the Downloads section.
Open the extension and proceed to connect it to your device. Go to the Songtube App, in the Library screen, and enable "SongTube Link". Then, on the extension you have two options to connect:
- Download and install Songtube Link Server and let the extension automatically detect Songtube
- Manually input your device IP Address
Once the extension is connected to Songtube App, you can start sending videos over to your device, this extension gives you two options:
- View: opens the video on your device
- Instant Download: as the name implies, instantly start downloading the video as music using your predefined instant download format from your settings
The extension is going to remember your device, as long as it is connected in your local network and it's IP Address doesn't change, if no connection to Songtube App can be done when you open the extension, the device will be removed and you will need to start the connection process again.
For the extension, you can install it from the Edge add-ons market: Songtube Link.
For the device auto-detect desktop app, go to the Songtube Link Server repository and download the latest release.
Aditionaly, if you have any troubles installing the extension from Edge add-ons, you can manually download and install it from this repository releases. There are plenty of guides in the internet that explains how to manually install an extension on Chrome or Edge.
