Killer Queen is a 10 player arcade game that has developed a small but strong competitive scene. Players across the country gather for local and national tournaments on a regular basis. New scenes continue to develop as the game pops up at more locations.
With interest in the game growing, an opportunity to develop the game's competitive scene presented itself. It was discovered that Killer Queen cabinets provide real-time events in the form of web socket messages. Using this data, a host of competitive tools could be created that enhance game analysis, strategy building, and player experience.
Thus the kqstats project was born!
This project aims to collect event data from Killer Queen cabinets and make it available in various ways. Some of the earliest implementations include a kill board for game streaming, with other tools and features planned for the future!
This wiki in particular aims to document the behavior of the Killer Queen cabinets with regards to anything statistics-related, as well as document the structure of this project and how to use it. Findings about the game are used in this project, but more importantly are made publicly available for others.
