Maps for Population Imaging
Visualization of complex Medical Imaging data such as functional connectivity, tractography, functional imaging and Multiparametric Tissue Signatures is a challenge. Recombining such data produces an even more complex problem concerning to medical interpretations[1].
A choropleth map (from Greek χῶρος "area/region" and πλῆθος "multitude") is a thematic map in which areas are shaded or patterned in proportion to the measurement of the statistical variable being displayed on the map, such as population density or per-capita income [2].
Many different visualization solutions have been proposed.
We introduce a new concept of visualization in Medical Imaging field through web and smartphones with this prototype based in the example of an open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps, "leafletjs" [3].
