Follow these steps to set up the Stonks!™️ app on your local machine:
- Python 3.x
- pip package manager
- Redis server
- Git (optional, but recommended)

Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/surtarso/stonks.git cd stonks

Create a virtual environment (optional but recommended):
python -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate

Install required packages:
pip install -r reqs.txt

Configure Redis:
Make sure you have a running Redis server. Update the
settings.py
file to use the correct Redis configuration. -
Apply migrations:
python manage.py migrate

Start Celery for background tasks:
celery -A stonks_app worker -l info

Start the development server:
python manage.py runserver
