- loads current stockwatch security prices from 4 of your portfolios into moneydance
- you also need runScripts-share.py and definitions.py from the Moneydance-Stockwatch-dayly repository
- you must have a stockwatch account and preconfigured portfolios. Handles Canadian and US stocks plus
- canadian mutual funds.
- to execute these scripts put them all in /opt/moneydance/scripts then execute
- runScripts-shared.py .. run this script with moneydance->window->"Show MoneyBot Console"
- runScripts-shared.py can run many different scripts via its tree menu system.
- open the "Run Stockwatch Update Scripts" folder.
- select updatePortfolioStockWatch.py.
- hit the "Run Script Button" at the bottom.
- You can also execute these scripts directly without using runScripts-shared.py
- definitions.StockwatchSymbols is used to convert the Canadian mutual fund symbols to what ever you
- are useing in moneydance like 'BIF*CDN' -> TML202-T (Franklin Bissett Canadian Equity Fund)
- see line 147 in updatePortfolioStockWatch2Moneydance.py for other ticker symbol conversions like AW.UN -> AW-UN-T
- fetch-Stockwatch-ID.py is used to get the stockwatch ID cookie from seamonkey so you must be
- logged in with seamonkey to Stockwatch when you run these scripts.
- if you do not use seamonkey you can change the code to send your userID and password directly in the quiry.
- Firefox and Seamoney are close relatives so changing the code to suit Firefox should be easily done.
- Directory structure required to run the stockwatch scripts
- /opt/monedance/scripts/tmp/Stockwatch
- /opt/monedance/scripts/tmp/Done
- /opt/monedance/scripts/tmp/StockwatchDay
- /opt/monedance/scripts/tmp/StockwatchPortfolio
